An experienced fighter, Jim is also trained to referee when needed. He received his Certificate of Training as a General Civil Mediator (2011) and Domestic Relations Mediator (2013). He serves as a facilitator several times each year helping people and businesses end disputes and avoid the high cost and long delays of litigation. Jim volunteers his dispute resolution skills to the Community Dispute Resolution Services at Gryphon Place, where he previously served as co-chair of the Advisory Committee of Dispute Resolution Services. He also has experience serving as an Arbitrator.
Jim has mediated and/or arbitrated a myriad of disputes involving business litigation, personal injury, insurance issues, real estate, and family law matters. His 30+ years of courtroom experience, exemplary reputation and excellent settlement record prove he has the knowledge and experience to mediate or arbitrate any dispute.
Jim has participated in hundreds of settlements over his career, both before and after trial, many through successful mediation. His experience having picked dozens of juries and having tried and won cases at State and Federal venues has provided Jim with a unique sense of what works and what doesn’t both in settlements and trials.
